POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Associate is accountable for the daily transactional activities related to key pipeline functions (including but not limited to: AP/AR). The Accounting Associate reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Procure-to-Payment

• Execute the AP workflow for multiple business lines, including but not limited to: the verification and posting of vendor invoices, research and discovery of any missing or questionable items and ensuring the timely delivery of payment (within terms) to our powerful vendor partners.
• Reconciliation of vendor statements.
• Complete vendor set up forms; develop vendor relations; communicate with vendors on payment inquires.

Order-to-Cash

• Execute the AR workflow for multiple business lines, including but not limited to: recurring verification and review of customer deposits and bank activity, analysis of sales revenue and reconciliation of activity.
• Process intercompany and 3rd party billing.

Inventory

• Participate in the inventory process by posting reconciled inventory counts to the system of record.

General

• Participate in one (or multiple) Sarbanes Oxley accounting cycles, ensuring data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties and adherence to internal and external regulations.
• Complete standard accounting tasks including but not limited to journal entries, non-standard check requests and assisting with team activities such as sorting and collating mail/email.
• Continuously monitor, improve and evolve processes.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Accounting degree preferred; Intermediate Excel skills; Comprehension of accounting principles; Accounts receivable; Accounts payable; Knowledge of accounting systems and how they are integrated within a company’s accounting structures; Knowledge of financial reporting process; Minimum of 1 years’ experience in accounting; Experience in accounting for multiple companies/lines of business preferred. Experience with Restaurant365 or a similar ERP preferred, but not required.
