ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

THE POSITION

The Construction Accounting Associate position is a rare opportunity for a detail oriented, experienced accounting clerk to be a part of a High-End Residential Design-Build Firm. Reporting to the Lead Accountant, the Accounting Associate plays a critical role in the Finance Department. The Accounting Associate is responsible for managing and processing AP/AR, Credit Card reports and reconciliations and various other duties as needed within the accounting Department. There is room for growth over time into areas of specialization depending on the candidate's unique skillset.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee and audit and input of accounts payable invoices.

· Input daily credit card purchases and assist in reconciliations.

· Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.

· Provide clerical or administrative support to management as needed.

Create Proformas and special project reports for Management as needed.

· Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial files.

· Communicate in a professional and friendly manner with vendors and financial institutions.

· Make recommendations for creating efficiencies in the accounting and other processes.

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 1 -3 years of bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar

· Mastery of QuickBooks Desktop

· Knowledge of regulatory requirements for processing regular payroll transactions and quarterly payroll returns

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Excellent communication skills – written and oral

· Proficient with Windows operating system

· Proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
