JOB TITLE: Accounting Generalist

DEPARTMENT: Accounting

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 23rd, 2024

 

DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist with Accounts Payable including job cost and overhead allocations.

· Assist with reconciling company accounts such as all corporate credit cards etc.

· Provide general accounting support to other departments as needed.

· Maintaining company stipend accuracy.

· Assisting with company benefit perks such as Lifestyle and apparel reimbursement.

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations.

· Lift up to 10lbs

· Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.

· Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate

· Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security

· Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Associate’s degree or similar in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

· 2-4 Years of related experience preferred

· Strong skills in MS office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage) is preferred.
