We are looking for an Bookkeeper to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines
- The ability to use various financial transactions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Recording incoming and outgoing company transactions and posting them to various accounts
- Processing payments
- Conducting daily banking activities
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
- Working with an accountant when necessary.
- Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements
- Build and maintain company budgets and projections on multiple projects
- track and communicate company profit margins
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Great interpersonal skills that enable the Bookkeeper to clearly and effectively communicate with other employees
- Experienced with building company budgets, profit margins and projections
- Highly motivated
- Experienced with Quickbooks Online
- experience with running payroll (Payworks)
- Strong data entry skills
- Familiarity with all principles of accounting
- Full knowledge of BC/Canada tax laws and regulations
- A strong understanding of math and numbers
- The ability to communicate complex financial data with other members
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
