Global Information Network is hiring: Accounting Manager in Schaumburg

Salary up to $150K with discretionary bonus opportunity

100% on site in our Schaumberg office

Seeking “Accounting Manager” of our global fast growing dynamic company.

Your job is to be in charge of the accounting and finance department.

You will handle all accounting and bookkeeping, as well as build the Finance and Accounting Department as the company grows.

Initially you will run the Finance/Accounting department that consists of one staff accountant working under you, but this will grow as the company grows. You will be doing everything relating to finance, accounting, recordkeeping, bookkeeping, payroll, A/R, A/P and more.

You will also work with the Accounting Manager who is in charge of the group’s other companies.

As the company grows, you will hire additional staff for your team and potentially grow into the CFO position.

The office has 12 current staff Members.

The company is over 10 years old and growing. We anticipate the company will grow into an over $100 million a year business within the next 5 years.

Our organization invests in personal development of all staff. At least 4 staff attended domestic and international all-expense paid business trips each year are required.

As a staff member you will also be required to read positive thinking books that are provided such as Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, etc.

Additional PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) training in the form of audios and videos are required of all staff.

This role will report directly to the CEO

Responsibilities Include:

• Handling the entire accounting and finance process and procedures.
• This will include a/p, a/r, payroll, month end and year end close.
• Working with banks and establishing and maintaining relationships with our credit card processes, PayPal etc including Crypto and handling international transactions
• Prepare and analyze financial statements.
• Help prepare tax returns with our outside CPA firm
• Cash flow projections, writing Pro Formas, managing performance projections.
• As the business grows you will hire and manage additional accounting and finance staff.
• Work with QuickBooks online and Excel
• Run and maintain the General Ledger and Balance Sheets
• This role will interface greatly with the CEO and others for strategic planning and forecasting of the business.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting
• CPA is highly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance ideal
• The ability to make presentations to the CEO and offer advice
• The ability manage others as the business is growing and additional staff is needed
• QuickBooks online experience required
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and v look up’s)
• High intelligence, quick mind, fast learner, motivated, self-starter and takes initiative
• Detail orientated, ACCURATE
