We are seeking a responsible individual with experience in accounting for a Construction Company. We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking, motivated, deadline driven Accounting Clerk to join our Florida based team.

You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multi-tasking.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Based in our Dania Beach , Florida facility, this position is responsible for assisting the existing team with general accounting functions, Daily, month end and year end closing.

  • Other assignments and projects as defined and directed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or similar role
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Microsoft Office Suites and Excel proficient

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Review and file invoices for Sales and Use Tax
  • Mail and email monthly statements to customers
  • Post payment to customer
  • Reconcile Company Credit Cards: send statements and collect receipts; match receipts with statements; enter data into QuickBooks
  • Request updated W-9s for all vendors; review vendors in QuickBooks and select vendors
  • Back up for A/P, and AR requesting approvals; requesting backup for invoices; entering bills into QuickBooks

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Time management and ability to multi-task with changing priorities with a sense of urgency when needed .
  • Ability to work collaboratively both across and outside the organization at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, expressing ideas clearly and objectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Preparing customer statements, invoices, and other documents.
  • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.

Compensation/Salary:

$20.00 to $25.00 depending on experience

Type of Job:

Full Time or Part Time (Flexible on schedule)

Office is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Other Job Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer savvy, Organized, Meticulous, Responsible and Reliable.
  • High level of efficiency, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
  • experience with an emphasis in construction is a plus.
  • Understanding of Financial P&L and Balance Sheet a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
