Job Title: Dealership Accountant

Department: Accounting

Job Description:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Automotive Ancillary Products Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for various accounting and administrative operations relating to processing extended service contracts, GAP and other ancillary product remittances, cancellation requests, lender disputes and chargebacks, schedule reconciliation, and communication.

CDK DMS experience preferred.


Responsibilities:

Processing Product Remittances:

  • Remit payment on-time to ancillary product vendors.
  • Accurately post all components of the remittance to the appropriate accounts.

Processing Cancellation Requests:

  • Process cancellation requests on-time to ancillary product vendors, customers, and lenders.
  • Accurately post all components of the cancellation to the appropriate accounts.

Processing Lender Disputes and Chargebacks:

  • Process equipment disputes.
  • Process reserve chargebacks.

Schedule Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile associated schedules regularly.

Communicate with Related Parties:

  • Professionally communicate with related parties including internal departments, customers, vendors, and lenders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with dealership software like CDK or Reynolds is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SafeGuard, Warranty Solutions, Diversified, LoJack and other ancillary product vendors is a plus.
