Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Accounting Manager for Research and Development firm located in Laguna Hills.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity and the pay is 85k to100K.

The successful applicant is expected to have experience in government job cost accounting. Additionally, the candidate should have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to interact well with staff, government contacts, and vendors.

Job Responsibilities

· Accounting management, general ledger and cost accounting

· In-depth knowledge of government accounting rules (FAR & DFARS)

· Annual indirect cost submission

· Job Cost

· Cost proposal preparation

· Accounts Receivable invoicing, banking and cash management

· Monthly and year-end financial statements including indirect costs

· Accounts payable, purchase orders and payroll

· HR Administration

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business

· Advanced skills with Microsoft Office – WORD and Excel

· Basic understanding of government cost accounting software

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Highly motivated self-starter with ability to quickly absorb ideas and complete tasks within prescribed timelines and resources

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team towards a larger company objective
