Property Paving, Inc is hiring: Accounting Supervisor in Grand Prairie

Property Paving, Inc. is a full-service concrete paving and asphalt paving contractor, committed to excellence and innovation in every project we undertake. 

The Accounting Supervisor oversees the company's financial accounts, payroll, budgeting, cash receipts, and financial assets. This role involves close collaboration with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support and leadership to all assigned personnel and serve as the backup for all department responsibilities.
• Ensure all department deadlines and responsibilities are met.
• Collecting payments and managing all accounts payable and receivable records
• Reconcile and process bank deposits and cash applications.
• Process, and reconcile credit card payments and codes to the proper account.
• Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed.
• Assist with financial statement review.
• Month-end closing process.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. · Build/Maintain department procedures.
• Manage the department's daily functions while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods, and personnel.
• Responsible for banking transactions such as approving/declining positive pay and ACH exceptions, initiating all ACH/Wires, and posting ACH cash receipts and/or payments.
• Work with upper management to develop team goals and communicate established goals to the department. Additionally, work with each direct report to establish their goals and objectives for the year. Ensure that goals and objectives are being met by monitoring and advising on their progress throughout the year.
• Assist in new customer applications by completing all Banking and Financial requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in Accounting. Construction Accounting is preferred. Texas Sales and Use Tax experience is required.
• Knowledge: Experience with Quickbooks Desktop is required.
