We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at our Boba Franchise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and office management, and be able to handle the day-to-day financial operations of the franchise with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This position can be partially done virtually or remotely from home.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the franchise, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Work with the leadership team to develop and track the budget, and identify areas for cost savings
Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records and documents
Collaborate with management to develop and achieve financial goals for the franchise
Support the duties of the Office Manager, including managing the office calendar, coordinating meetings and events, and ordering supplies
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
Influence stakeholder group to consider wide array of possible solutions to a business need; recommend solutions based on a broad business perspective
Collaborate to ensure desired outcomes are achieved for different projects, including facilitation of councils, meetings, and cross-functional decisions across stakeholder groups
Identify and recommend changes in procedures of significant impact on broader groups
Participate in roadmap development; make recommendations about future system and data infrastructure needs
Communicate project benefits, progress, and updates to a variety of audiences via written, visual, and verbal presentations
Research technical tax issues related to international activities
Write technical tax memorandums
Prepare, process, review, and support CPA for filing corporate income tax returns
Calculate, file, and initiate estimated income tax payments
Reconcile general ledger tax liability accounts and investigate account differences and issues
Research and answer notices and other correspondence regarding income taxes, payments, general account information from international taxing jurisdictions
Collect information for income tax audits and communicate effectively with auditors from international taxing authorities
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the food or beverage industry
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, analytical & problem-solving skills, communication skills, project management.
Experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
Relevant experience in HR and/or payroll systems
Relevant experience in project management, business process change initiatives and/or systems implementations
Familiarity with and understanding of the labor environment within the restaurant and/or retail industry
Franchise experience or experience with multiple beverage stores operations
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of corporate finance and accurate bookkeeping experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance
