The Role:
The Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, payroll management, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. This role is full time, based onsite in our Denver office. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 – $130,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
What you will do:
- Accounts payable management (including entering & reconciliation of bills in Xero, scheduling payment of bills, contractor invoices)
- Accounts receivable management (including raising of invoices, reconciliation of payments, invoice follow up).
- Track and manage the organization's cash flow and financial reserves to ensure sustainability
- Processing monthly staff payroll: Understanding of pro rated payroll, exempt and nonexempt employees, state laws; Implementation of an international payroll system; Completing and properly filing new hire paperwork (i9/W4/W2,1099)
- Employee Raises/Salary: Management of start of year salary and budget setting and mid-year salary setting processes; Work with management, and CEO for annual raises
- Tax management and reporting: Managing WA as a monopolistic state, Understanding taxes for LLC and C-Corp, Annual and quarterly reports/payments
- Lodgement of superannuation & government tax statements
- Management of insurance: Business insurances, Company cars
- Act as the RA for the company or work with the RAs to handle paperwork
- Tracking and Generating Expense Reports; streamline processes, manage employee credit cards and spending, understanding and implement per diem / reimbursement policies
- Compile receipts for reconciliation in Xero, Implement and using expense softwares
- Stand as our sole accountant to ensure timely filing of of all government reporting; run monthly accounting reports for management
- Manage end of year W2 for employees and 1099 for all contracts throughout the fiscal year
- General oversight of the projects's budgets and financial forecasting of the project's risk/liabilities and revenues/profits; Overseeing and creating yearly budgets/goals for the Denver office
- Support strategic planning by providing financial insights, trend analysis, and projections for future growth
- International Business: Understanding of international payroll, taxes, expenses; Transfer Pricing tracking
- Projects: Manage office POs; Project Budgets, Account Management, Costs, etc
Who you are:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Experience with Xero
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced organisational skills
- A motivated individual, and a self-starter
- Flexible attitude
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Experience in data entry, record keeping, and computer operation
- Must be able to work in person in the DTC office
