Summary:
The Management and Business Department at Skidmore College invites applications for a full-time appointment in Accounting at the Assistant Professor (PhD/DBA) rank beginning September 2025. Primary job responsibilities include excellence in teaching, high quality research, and participation in service for the Department and the College.
We seek candidates who can successfully teach financial and managerial accounting courses at both the introductory and advanced levels; all tenure-track faculty also teach occasionally in our First Year Experience program. All teaching is at the undergraduate level, and the normal teaching load is five courses per academic year. Tenure track faculty are eligible for a pre-tenure research leave (sabbatical) in their fourth year at the college.
The College seeks to attract an academically and culturally diverse faculty, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and/or applicants who have experience teaching diverse student populations.
Education: a Ph.D. is required by date of appointment
Candidates should submit a cover letter explaining their ability to contribute in the areas described above, including their ability to work effectively with a diverse student population; a curriculum vitae; names of three references with contact information; and a list of classes taught with a summary of evaluations of teaching for each class. Candidates must also submit a research paper.

Pay Range: $99,000-$115,000
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:
