Position Title Accounts Payable/Treasury Support Coordinator
Department Financial Services
Reports to Accounts Payable/Purchasing Manager
Appointment Full-Time; 40 hours per week/12 months
Status Non-Exempt
Wage Range $15.75 - $16.75
Summary: The accounts payable/treasury support coordinator will provide accounting support primarily to accounts payable, but also to treasury services. The position will handle data entry and reconciliation for a variety of accounts payable processes and will provide back-up support to the cashier window. The position will report directly to the Accounts Payable/Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Functions:
· Provide accounting support for Bradley University’s Purchasing and Accounts Payable unit.
· Review and verify vendor information and financial accounting codes on requisitions/purchase orders and ensure appropriate authorization has been provided. Address any issue or missing information.
· Examine vendor invoices and statements and verify the details correlate to the corresponding requisition/purchase order data. Research any discrepancies and rectify any issues that may result.
· Review and reconcile bank card statements and investigate any issues or errors.
· Ensure all purchase transactions are in compliance with university policies and procedures as well as applicable Federal and State rules and regulations.
· Process invoices for payment. Verify payment amounts, payment terms and payment methods are accurate.
· Route invoices for approval.
· Prepare and post accounting journal entries.
Cashier Functions:
· Administer all cashiering functions and vault operations. Process, balance, and reconcile all receipts and address/resolve any differences.
· Responsible for balancing and processing of daily remote deposits from external merchant payment systems.
· Responsible for importing, processing and reconciling student loan payments, batch transactions, and deposits.
· Administer parking functions.
· Record and authorize Quick Cash deposits to student accounts.
· Provide customer service support to students and employees.
· Assist with monthly bank reconciliation processes.
· Respond to requests for information and assistance and/or referral to appropriate staff.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. In order to meet the needs of the University, the University retains the right to assign duties and requirements to employees, determine and change starting times, quitting times and shifts and change appointment specifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· One to two years business office experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn specific applications used by the university.
· Knowledge of banking and/or accounts payable procedures.
· Ability to work ethically and with integrity, including working with confidential information and records.
· Analytical skills to pinpoint and solve problems.
· Capable of working independently and making decisions with minimal supervision.
· Ability to grasp and understand policies and procedures in order to enforce compliance with university policies and procedures.
· Desire and ability to work with diverse clientele and colleagues.

Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust. Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
