Role Overview
As we continue our fast-paced growth, fueled by acquisitions such as Cascade Software Systems and Fiscalsoft, BMS is seeking a Director of Accounting and Finance to manage our financial activities, ensure compliance, and drive financial strategy across multiple entities. In this role, you will work closely with the VP of Finance and Accounting to support our rapid growth and success. Salary: $100k-$150k, dependent on qualifications. Position: Full-time, remote work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting
• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition.
• Work through consolidation and financial reporting of multiple entities.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Finance
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and lead various other reporting projects including decision support, metrics and analytics
• Provide key support roles in forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Help prepare business cases to support new investments and/or strategic initiatives.

Regulatory
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Advanced degree in Accounting.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software, especially Sage Intacct.
• Exceptional Excel skills, with expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
