Space Saver Distribution Inc. is hiring: Full-Charge Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced accounting clerk/bookkeeper that is familiar with QuickBooks but has a comprehensive understanding of Sage, an ERP accounting system. You must be well organized, self-motivated with a strong work ethic focused on accuracy and results. You must be performance-oriented; able to set clear goals, create action plans, adhere to timelines and always strive for improvement. We need someone who will take part and actively contribute to our goals, as a team and company. You must be someone with extraordinary communication skills who works efficiently under pressure.

You will handle all accounting functions from daily bookkeeping through month end financial statements. This will include HR functions as well as biweekly payroll functions.

Responsibilities

• A/P - Review statements and payables, prepare bi-weekly reports and process payments for CFO signature.
• A/R - Prepare and send invoices coordinating directly with the project manager. Prepare bi-weekly collection reports, work with CFO on collections and keep the accounts status current and correct in the ERP system.
• Prepare, review with CFO and process the quarterly reports (sales tax and payroll), month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance explanations and other financial reporting as needed.
• Assist the CFO in monitoring and resolving bank issues, i.e., returned checks, fees, etc.
• Assist, track, and process required renewals of licenses, (business, county, fire, etc.,), licensing fees, etc.
• Provide support and help procurement manager and/or operations manager with year-end inventory.
• Assist the CFO with financial audits, analysis data and prepare work papers for as needed for auditors or reporting agencies.
• Responsible for the accuracy of payroll and preparing the documentation for payment of employees' wages, prepare all related tax forms including W-4 and 1099's. Process upon CFO approval.
• Demonstrate professional commitment, initiative, accountability, and ownership of work assignments.
• Have a high degree of integrity and honesty with the ability to handle confidential information - confidentially.
• Aid and coordinate the preparation of drafting and keeping accounting policies and procedures correct and up to date.
• REQUIRED - 3-5 years' accounting experience and a minimum of 3 years working with ERP software program, Sage 100 preferably. Working knowledge of QuickBooks.

Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time

• Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Qualifications

• 3-5 years (required) accounting background.
• 3-5 years Sage
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Microsoft Office programs, but not limited to Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.
