Job Details



We are seeking an experienced Project Executive with a strong background in self-perform Heavy Civil and Heavy Highway construction, particularly in alternative delivery projects (e.g., Design-Build, CM/GC, P3). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, leading project teams, and ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through completion. The Project Executive will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and completion of projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, quality, and safety goals.

Leadership & Management:

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership on multiple large-scale heavy civil/highway construction projects.
  • Lead project teams, including project managers, engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Oversee staffing plans, project schedules, and resource allocation to ensure project goals are met.

Project Delivery & Execution:

  • Ensure effective project planning, including scope definition, schedule development, cost estimation, and resource management.
  • Lead self-perform operations, including earthwork, utilities, bridgework, paving, and other critical heavy civil components.
  • Oversee the successful execution of alternative delivery projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and project objectives.
  • Manage project risks, including identification, mitigation, and communication with stakeholders.

Financial & Performance Management:

  • Oversee project budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within financial targets.
  • Ensure projects meet or exceed safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Continuously evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.

Client Relations & Business Development:

  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new project opportunities, including alternative delivery methods.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in heavy civil/heavy highway construction, with a focus on self-perform operations.
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects delivered through alternative delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, CM/GC, P3).
Strong understanding of construction contracts, project management, and self-perform capabilities.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
Proficient in construction management software and project scheduling tools.
