Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Global Investment Office (GIO) seeks an Executive Assistant with a strong interest in financial services to support several Managing Directors, including the Department Head/Wealth Management Chief Investment Officer, with a variety of high level administrative, organizational, and logistical tasks. This individual will be exposed to many aspects of the investment process and the job can provide a multi-year career path to an entry level investment strategy role. With experience, this individual will be able to take on more creative strategic responsibilities and will be supported in obtaining the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
The Executive Assistant will interface regularly with individuals at all levels across Morgan Stanley and outside the firm. This individual must have an excellent customer service orientation and the ability to manage a fast-paced work environment and juggle multiple, simultaneous projects. This is an on-site role primarily located in midtown New York City with the potential for several days per month in Purchase.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex schedules, clearing them of conflicts and communicating them to the MDs
- Handling travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation; collecting all relevant details and preparing trip itineraries; communicating with trip organizers
- Vetting and prioritizing requests for meetings and media appearances
- Organizing and submitting expenses
- Logging client interactions in Salesforce
- Maintaining the team's master client and field engagement schedule
- Answering phone inquiries and directing as appropriate
- Planning, organizing and implementing events such as team meetings, departmentwide events and off-sites
- Performing ad hoc administrative responsibilities
- Creating presentations and providing meeting summaries
- Taking on special department projects as assigned by the department's Chief Operating Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional experience required, preferably as a sales assistant
- Familiarity with Morgan Stanley and the financial/wealth management industry is a plus
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- A detail-oriented self-starter who is eager to take on complex assignments
- Someone who exhibits sound judgement with the ability to prioritize and make decisions
- Someone who is energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
- An individual who is comfortable interacting with high-level executives
- A team-player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the firm
- Excellent computer skills, including the Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
This is an in-person role located in midtown NYC with several days per month in Purchase, NY.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
