About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Latinx Success Center, a pivotal role in the institution's commitment to providing culturally responsive support for Latinx and first-generation student populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the long-term development, management, and evaluation of the center, which is designed to enhance the academic and co-curricular success of these student communities. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, program management, and student support, with a focus on initiatives that promote the mental health and well-being of Latinx students. The Executive Director will also be tasked with resource and personnel management, including the design of fundraising campaigns, and will work closely with various campus entities to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a terminal degree and a minimum of five years' experience in a relevant field, with a strong preference for those who have worked with diverse Chicanx/Latinx student populations, first-generation and low-income students, and individuals with varied identities. The role requires a deep commitment to diversity, social justice, and equity, as well as knowledge of multicultural education and campus climate topics. Spanish fluency is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing partnerships, and advocacy, and will have a proven track record in strategic planning and program evaluation. The position demands a leader who can effectively manage a team, oversee the center's budget, and ensure its operations align with the institution's goals and values.
