About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of making quality child care accessible to all children. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing the organization, driving change, and collaborating with early childhood development providers and community organizations. The Executive Director will be a self-starter, a collaborative leader, and the face of the organization to external partners, government officials, and the public. Key responsibilities include executive management of board relations, resource development, advocacy, and community building. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of community-based systems, proven leadership qualities, and expertise in fundraising. They should be strategic thinkers, with the ability to detail and advance the implementation plan, and have a strong background in management to inspire and motivate a team. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be visionary thinkers with a passion for the mission. The role requires a leader who can bring together diverse stakeholders, manage relationships, and foster collaboration. Experience in building and supporting a diverse team is essential, as is the ability to think strategically and address complex issues creatively and equitably. While experience in the early care and education sector is a plus, it is not required, and the successful candidate should be willing and able to learn about the sector. Personal qualities that are valued include being entrepreneurial, a builder, a doer, a good listener, and a collaborator. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board and Advisory Council to achieve the organization's goals and will be expected to maintain strong and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
