About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the chief executive officer for its Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Foundation's strategic plan, in line with its mission to support activities that meet the educational and health needs of society. This includes working closely with the Board of Directors to identify and approve grant programs, as well as overseeing a grant management system. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the Foundation's governance complies with all relevant laws and regulations, and will have a key role in financial management, including the oversight of assets and annual disbursements. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 8 years' experience working with foundation boards, with a strong preference for those with a background in public service or related to the health and education sectors. The role requires a candidate with a demonstrated statewide awareness, excellent interpersonal, research, and project management skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management and high-level external contacts. Integrity, judgment, and diplomacy are essential, particularly in handling sensitive requests for funding. While not mandatory, experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the operational aspects of the Foundation, including the supervision of staff and the representation of the Foundation in fostering collaborative programs with significant partners.
