About the Role

The Company is seeking an Area Executive Director for Hospice Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple hospice programs in the Kansas and Missouri areas, providing support and mentorship to site-level leaders in all aspects of program management, including staffing, hiring, budgeting, leadership, and marketing. The role also involves ensuring the implementation of company policies and mission, maintaining set standards and goals, and assuring the long-term fiscal viability of the hospice programs. The Area Executive Director will oversee and support the branch management of each hospice program, assist in the development of annual branch budgets, and monitor expenditures to ensure continued growth and quality patient care. Applicants for the Area Executive Director position must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in hospice operations management, with at least 2 years' in multi-site hospice or home health leadership. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in budgetary responsibilities, including budget development and monitoring of KPIs. A broad knowledge of federal and state regulations and outstanding leadership, managerial, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background as a Registered Nurse, but this is flexible for the right candidate. The Area Executive Director will be expected to have exceptional local market knowledge and be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness to ensure the success of the hospice programs in the region.
