About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting programs and advocacy in the natural environment and youth sectors, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and liberation (DEIJL) principles. The successful candidate will be the steward of the organization's mission-aligned investments, champion nonprofit partners, and advance an equity-centered grantmaking model. This role involves identifying and dismantling policies or practices that perpetuate inequity, and the Executive Director will be expected to support the organization's staff and build internal capacity in line with its commitment to the community. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be dedicated to the values of the organization, particularly in the areas of DEIJL. The role requires a leader who can work with the Board of Directors to ensure that the organization's activities are in line with its mission and who can provide strategic regional leadership that centers equity. Experience in nonprofit management, a deep understanding of the challenges facing the communities the organization serves, and a proven track record in fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment are essential. The Executive Director will also be responsible for maintaining the organization's strong partnerships and for guiding it through the next phase of its work, in alignment with its commitment to transformation and change.
