About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its philanthropic efforts in the Boston area. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic and operational planning, revenue generation, grantmaking, and community investment. This role requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader with a passion for the mission of reducing the burden of poverty. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic vision, oversee the organization's growth, and ensure the effective use of resources. Key responsibilities include driving the development of new revenue-generating programs, managing the annual budget, and maintaining a strong presence in public relations and advocacy. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 5-10 years' of philanthrophic experience, with a proven track record in fundraising and revenue growth. The role demands a leader with high energy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a fundamental understanding of the issues faced by those in poverty, a transparent and high-integrity leadership style, and a creative, resilient, and strategic approach to problem-solving. Experience in the life sciences, biotech, healthcare industries, or philanthropic organizations is a plus. The Executive Director will be expected to be a passionate advocate for the organization's mission, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
