About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of promoting compassion, respect, and justice for animals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fiscal and administrative management of the organization, including setting program goals, hiring and supervising staff, and formulating strategic plans. Key duties also include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization's financial health, oversee its internal accounting system, and coordinate with various funding sources. A strong emphasis is placed on upholding the organization's core ethos through principled advocacy, compelling messaging, and positive, solution-oriented programs. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a proven track record in leading and supervising staff, particularly in the nonprofit sector. Experience in working with a Board of Directors and building partnerships with stakeholders is highly valued. The role requires polished communication skills, an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, and the ability to work with diverse opinions. The Executive Director will also be expected to maintain the organization's 501(c)(3) status, ensure a safe and positive work environment, and serve as the primary spokesperson. The position involves national and international travel and demands a leader with sound judgment, integrity, and maturity in handling sensitive issues.
