This position will also be a collaborative andengaging partner to other stakeholders and partnering agenciesincluding the Superior Courts, Public Defender, DistrictAttorney, as well as community-based organizations and thecommunity itself. The Deputy Chief Probation Officer assists theagency and Chief Probation Officer in formulating policies,programs, and procedures, along with advising and making majordecisions in matters that affect the agency. How to Apply: Required Background and Experience: A qualified candidate wouldtypically acquire the necessary knowledge and abilities througheducation and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree froman accredited college or university with major work in public orbusiness administration, justice studies, or other related humanservices field and a minimum of three (3) years of broad andextensive management experience, preferably in probation,administration of justice, or other human services field. Amaster’s degree in justice studies or other human services fieldis preferred.
