About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Bay Area office, a pivotal role in leading the growth of local programs and services that foster resilient, healthy, and inclusive communities. The successful candidate will be an energetic and influential leader with a strong commitment to the mission of advancing racial equity and social justice. Responsibilities include providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and guidance for the organization's programmatic structure, as well as managing a professional staff and a Local Advisory Committee. The Executive Director will be tasked with expanding the organization's role in community development, real estate, and capital development, and will play a key role in fundraising, relationship building, and advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 10 years' senior-level experience in community development or related fields, with a proven track record in shaping affordable housing and real estate projects and growing organizational capacity. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, and a strong background in management, including staff development and financial oversight. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a dynamic self-starter, and an entrepreneurial leader who can inspire a high-performing team and elevate the organization's brand regionally. A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is advantageous.
