About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead and strengthen its nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in alignment with the vision set by the Board of Directors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a business mindset, operational excellence, and leadership experience. The Executive Director will be tasked with grant management, fundraising, and community engagement, with a focus on expanding the organization's reach and ensuring that no qualified scholarship applicant is left behind due to a lack of funding. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in nonprofit management or related fields, a proven track record in fundraising, and the ability to engage with diverse programming networks. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include identifying and securing new funding sources, leading grant-writing activities, and creating a culture of fundraising within the organization. The role also involves overseeing financial and budgetary management, maintaining strong relationships with the Board of Directors, and serving as the public face of the organization. The candidate should possess strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, and be proficient in philanthropic and financial management systems. A background in working with military and first responder groups, as well as educational facilities, is highly valued. The position demands a high level of integrity, transparency, and accountability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
