About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Green Bank, a pioneering initiative focused on using public capital to catalyze private sector investment in clean energy and sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization, including the design and execution of financial programs that attract private funding to advance the state's environmental and resiliency goals. This role demands a visionary leader with a strong background in public and/or private investment, particularly in the areas of clean energy, climate finance, and blended finance. The Executive Director will also be at the forefront of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, with a specific emphasis on partnering with under-served communities to mobilize capital for low-carbon and resilient projects. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field, with at least 10 years' of experience in leading and scaling performance- and outcomes-based organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, program development, and stakeholder engagement, and be adept at managing a high-performing team, especially in a start-up environment. A deep commitment to the mission of the Green Bank, as well as to equity and the fight against climate change, is essential. The role requires a leader who can seamlessly navigate the strategic, operational, and administrative aspects of the organization, and who is willing to take on a diverse set of responsibilities to ensure its success.
