About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its transformative work in the field of arts-in-corrections. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, organizational and program management, fundraising, external affairs, and marketing and communications. This role requires a visionary leader who can build on the organization's current successes, demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and work with a variety of stakeholders to advance the mission of using the arts as a tool for the rehabilitation and growth of individuals within the justice system. The Executive Director will also be expected to oversee day-to-day operations, manage finances, and ensure the organization's growth and sustainability. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be engaging, team-oriented leaders with a strong understanding of the impact of the justice system and a personal, community-centered, or professional experience with the issue of incarceration. While experience in an art-related organization is not required, a background in multi-cultural competence, entrepreneurial spirit, and a proven track record in fundraising and partnership development is essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead change, manage a diverse team, and foster a working environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company is committed to creating a diverse and authentic workplace and encourages individuals with a variety of backgrounds, including those personally impacted by the criminal legal system, to apply.
