About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of enhancing literacy skills among school-aged children in the Eastern Caribbean. The successful candidate will be the sole full-time employee, responsible for driving the organization's programs, managing partnerships, and fostering community engagement. This role is pivotal in overseeing the development and execution of literacy initiatives, including the creation and maintenance of lending libraries, and ensuring the impact of these programs on the educational outcomes of the children served. The Executive Director will also be tasked with the organization's financial management, including fundraising, budgeting, and maintaining transparency and accountability. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should be energetic, strategic, and hands-on leaders with a background in the non-profit sector. The role requires a self-starter with a passion for improving literacy access in underserved communities, capable of working independently and with a strong commitment to the organization's mission. Key responsibilities include fundraising, program development, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in non-profit leadership, with proven skills in program development, fundraising, and budget management. Strong relationship-building and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with diverse cultural landscapes and a willingness to travel for program management and partner development.
