About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its nonprofit organization, which has been a cornerstone of the visual arts community for a century. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and management aspects of the organization, with a focus on bringing the strategic plan to life and celebrating the centennial milestone. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include strategic leadership, financial management, program development and oversight, fundraising and development, marketing and public relations, board relations, and staff and volunteer management. The role demands a visionary leader who can guide the organization through a transformative period of growth and innovation, ensuring its sustainability and impact on the community. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and several years of progressive management experience in a nonprofit arts or cultural organization. A proven track record in financial management, strategic planning, and fundraising is essential, with at least 3-5 years' experience in creating and implementing a fundraising and capital development plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the visual arts community, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Knowledge of 501(c)3 and non-profit financial and governance structures is also required.
