Location: Northeast Louisiana Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
About Us: The Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana (CCNELA) is a community-focused nonprofit committed to meeting the needs of children and families in Northeast Louisiana. As we continue to grow and support our region, we seek a dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization with vision, strategy, and a dedication to enhancing the well-being of children and families.
Position Overview: As the Executive Director, you will play a critical role in guiding the strategic direction, administration, and program development of CCNELA. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for strengthening partnerships, securing funding, and developing innovative programs that address community needs. This leadership role requires a visionary who can inspire both staff and community stakeholders while driving sustainable growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fund Development & Community Engagement:
- Lead fundraising efforts to support and expand the Coalition's mission.
- Strengthen relationships with donors, members, and partners.
- Serve as a role model within the community, fostering partnerships and collaboration.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial health of the organization, including budget development and reporting.
- Ensure the organization operates within approved budgets and achieves financial stability.
- Public Relations & Advocacy:
- Enhance CCNELA's image and visibility within the community.
- Act as the primary spokesperson, engaging with constituents, media, and public stakeholders.
- Leadership Development & Organizational Operations:
- Cultivate a positive work environment that attracts and retains diverse talent.
- Promote professional development, fostering a pipeline for leadership succession.
- Manage operational resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of facilities and equipment.
- Board Governance:
- Maintain open communication with the Executive Board, providing insights on organizational opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with board members to implement adopted plans and policies, driving strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of senior management or leadership experience in a nonprofit or similar setting.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and securing major donor gifts.
- Strong organizational, budget management, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to facilitate and sustain partnerships among diverse groups.
- Valid driver's license, insurable under CCNELA's policy.
