Job Description
QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics – Army (PM IS&A).
Duties:
- Prepare documentation to support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Framework and Cybersecurity related Army Acquisition process.
- Continuously monitor and assess the Cybersecurity status of all IS&A products and systems.
- Support cybersecurity certification and accreditation testing.
- Conduct reviews for evidence of compromise of covered defense information, including, but not limited to, identifying compromised computers, servers, specific data and user accounts, and rapidly report cyber incidents to the DoD.
- Identify cybersecurity related issues and develop recommendations to address the identified issues.
- Support the planning, integration and implementation of cybersecurity and cross-domain security solutions in all IS&A products. This includes securing and accrediting cross domain solutions as well as assisting in the design of new capabilities or enhancements to existing fielded baselines.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Direct experience with providing expert support, analysis, and research in DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and processes to support the Army RMF process. Includes experience as a technical SME, Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Information Security System Engineer (ISSE) on Army Program of Record (POR)/Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) products.
- Direct experience with implementation of DOD-I-8500, DOD-I-8510, ICD 503, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, Army AR 25-2, and RMF security control requirements and able to provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives for security control compliance.
- Direct experience with latest Army RMF requirement and processes.
- Direct experience with NETCOM eMASS tool and able to support the program with the ISSO / ISSE functions.
- Fully understand DISA Port Protocol, and Services Management (PPSM) requirement and able to obtain PPSM account for management of PPSM for supporting systems.
- Able to work with other team members and other function teams to collaborate on challenges and solutions.
Required Clearance:
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: TS/SCI
Qualifications:
- High School diploma and at least fifteen (15) years of related cybersecurity work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science or similar field related to cybersecurity and ten years (10) of cybersecurity experience may be substituted for required experience.
- Must have Cyber baseline certification required for IAM II or IAT III (required for privileged users).
Travel:
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:
This position will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
