Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cybersecurity and Network Infrastructure Analyst to lead a classified, in-depth study of the network infrastructure, ensuring the operational security, efficiency, and modernization of critical IT systems. This role requires a candidate with an advanced technical background, preferably with a masters in computer science, information technology, network engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field. The position will evaluate the IT network infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities and optimization areas, and develop a comprehensive final report with actionable recommendations to enhance security, reliability, and alignment with strategic goals.
Work Location: Completely on-site near Honolulu, HI.
Basic Required Qualifications and Skills: Note: These are mandatory items that all candidates must have when submitting an application to IMC for this position. - Masters degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience combined with a degree will be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity, with a proven track record of conducting complex, large-scale technical assessments in mission-critical or classified environments.
- Experience working with military branches, especially the Air Force, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DoD network standards, classified network operations, and systems such as SIPRNet, JWICS, and PACAF-specific IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and cybersecurity frameworks, with practical experience in using advanced network management and monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in risk analysis, penetration testing, and mitigation strategies for military network environments.
- Strong understanding of emerging IT trends relevant to military operations, including zero-trust security, cloud computing, AI/ML, IoT, and edge computing.
- Commitment to Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) compliance and DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Superb attention to detail, critical thinking and analysis skills, and excellent oral and written communication.
- Proven ability to convey complex technical information into actionable insights for senior leadership, emphasizing clear and strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, and experience interfacing with senior officials.
- Ability to evaluate data to quickly identify problems, issues, and gaps.
- Self-motivated and able to stay focused.
- Ability to travel OCONUS.
- Be able to obtain network, server, and workstation administration rights on contract networks.
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
- All applicants must have current DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility day one and prior to entry on duty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Conduct a thorough, classified assessment of the customers IT network infrastructure, including architecture, security protocols, data flows, and resiliency of communication systems.
- Utilize advanced network analysis and cybersecurity tools to identify vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and risks to mission-critical systems, as well as assess emerging threats and evolving operational needs.
- Provide strategic insights into integrating next-generation technologies, such as zero-trust architectures, enhanced cybersecurity frameworks, and AI-driven optimizations.
- Produce monthly classified status reports on network assessments, documenting key findings, areas of concern, and interim recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and contract security protocols in report handling, detailing prioritized actions to address immediate risks and improve efficiencies.
- Develop a final report encompassing:
- Technical Overview: A complete evaluation of the IT network, including systemic interactions and dependencies.
- Findings: Strengths, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommendations: Tactical and strategic actions to enhance network performance, security, scalability, and resilience to future threats.
- Long-Term Vision: Recommendations for network modernization, including cloud-based solutions, IoT, AI/ML integrations, and proactive cybersecurity measures.
- Present findings to leadership with clear, actionable recommendations for operational and strategic improvements.
- Work closely with IT engineers, network administrators, and leadership to gather necessary data and insights, ensuring solutions are mission-aligned.
- Foster open communication between technical staff and leadership, translating technical findings into strategies that support operational and strategic objectives.
