Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer orientated
Operations Site Manager
to join our team supporting NSWC Corona Range Systems Department at the Southern California Off-Shore Range Operations Center (SCOROC) Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island in San Diego, CA. This position will work on site at a government facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reports directly to the West Coast Program Manager; will be a manager of managers.
Manages a team of ManTech and sub-contractor support personnel supporting the NITE contract in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Supports operations at Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) Naval Base Point Loma, San Clemente Island, EWTG Pacific, NAS North Island, Range Operations Center NAS North Island, and TTGP Detachment Yokosuka.
Coordinates with West Coast Program Manager, NITE Management Staff, Maintenance Manager, and RS Range Managers for team daily/weekly and long-range work assignments and support requirements.
Manages the activities of training sites.
Develops and implements policies and procedures as well as ensures compliance with these procedures.
Evaluates activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
May coordinate communication between different functions.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets.
Enforces work standards, assigns contractor schedules, reviews work discrepancies, supervises contractor personnel, and communicates policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
Supports a team environment based on mutual respect and teamwork, dedicated to innovation and effective, efficient work practices.
Supports the Task Order Program Manager in providing overall excellent contract performance to the client as outlined by CPAR.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Seven (7) years of DoD training range experience.
Three (3) years of professional experience in managerial roles on DoD efforts.
Experience managing a dispersed workforce in support of DoD training range requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or related field.
Familiarity with the United States Navy preferred.
Familiarity with synthetic training environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, email).
Clearance Requirements:
An active Secret Clearance is required.
Physical Requirements:
Little travel anticipated.
Work will require movement between government sites in the Hampton Roads area for client meetings and support functions.
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which will involve delivering presentations.
