JOB SUMMARY: Drives and operates a combination of trucks and vehicles that requires having a Class A or Class B commercial driver's license, to pick up and transport passengers and or equipment, assist in loading and keeping accurate and complete driving logs.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising appropriate levels of judgment and discretion.
- Active Class A or Class B commercial driver's license.
- Ability to read a map and or use navigational devices.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to do physical labor.
- Time management skills to ensure routes are completed efficiently and safely.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes as needed.
- Good problem-solving skills to address unexpected issues.
- Desire to work as a team, while helping and interacting respectfully with each other.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- 2 or more years' experience CDL driving experience required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Performs inspections of vehicle prior to and following each trip.
- Follows delivery schedule and rests at appropriate times.
- Follows appropriate safety procedures to transport valuable cargo.
- Checks weather conditions and road reports before departure.
- Ensures vehicle is kept clean.
Other duties may be assigned.
