Remington College is seeking a Director of Institutional Development!
If you’re a highly motivated professional with experience in fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and community outreach, we are looking for you! This dynamic role is ideal for an individual passionate about education and experienced in fundraising. This individual reports to the Senior Vice President of Institutional Innovation.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and operates within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation at all times.
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual financial goals with a primary focus on endowment development and directed scholarships.
Identifying and Qualifying Prospective Donors: Research potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors capable of supporting the organization.
Donor Relations: Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations while maintaining strong relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners.
Event Planning: Organize and execute fundraising events and campaigns, including donor appreciation events and annual giving campaigns.
Current Donor Relationships: Ensure existing donor relationships are maximized.
Strategic Partnerships: Explore partnerships that provide financial support and other collaborative resources.
Market Trends: Stay informed on trends in philanthropy to align development strategies with current opportunities.
Manage the development effort to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded, and donors are effectively engaged according to best practices.Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze fundraising performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
Promotional Materials: Assist the Marketing Department in creating communications and promotional materials to highlight fundraising efforts.
Community Engagement: Participate in community activities to raise awareness about Remington College and its mission.
Performs the job on site when required. Remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required. Subject to change if superseded by Human Resource policy regarding remote work.
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Education/Experience Needed:
A bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in fundraising or advancement, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
Proven record of success in cultivating, soliciting, and closing major level ($100,000+) gifts from individual donors.
Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build relationships and engage diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
