CDL Delivery Driver Job at Jackson Supply in Oklahoma City

Jackson Supply Company is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies.  We are a rapidly growing company with current locations throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas.

We are currently seeking to fill a CDL w/ Hazmat Delivery Driver position in Oklahoma City, OK.

Summary

The CDL Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for transporting product, making timely customer deliveries while providing exceptional customer service and delivering and picking up inter-company transfers among branch locations.  Pick- up and delivery automatically includes loading and unloading and/or assisting the receiving party.  Most points of delivery are within 150 miles of Oklahoma City.  The vehicle is 26-foot box truck.  When not driving, duties of the warehouse will be assigned. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Delivering and unloading customer orders to customer locations, job sites, or designated locations and accommodating specific customer requests.

Delivering and picking up inter-company transfers                                              

Verifying all orders for accuracy and inspecting for damage

Meeting all DOT regulated requirements  

Performing warehouse duties when not driving  

Other duties as needed or assigned

Physical Demands

Extensive or prolonged driving

Lift and carry 80 pounds without mechanical aid

Push, pull or scoot up to 250 pounds without mechanical aid

Manually raise and lower objects from floor to above head

Climb ladders

Work at heights

Twist, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and squat

Work in heat and cold in unconditioned dusty warehouse environment

Maneuver mechanical aids such as a pallet jack, hand truck, etc.

Distant vision clarity 20 feet or more with or without correction

Mid-range vision clarity more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet

Near vision clarity to 20 inches or less with or without correction

Required Skills

Ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner at all times

Must have excellent customer service skills   

Must be literate and able to perform basic math functions

Other Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age                

Have or be able to obtain Hazmat Endorsement

Have or be able to obtain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate

Have and maintain an acceptable driving record

Must be able to pass DOT regulated drug screen
