Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dual-Role Driver, and Operations Specialist, you will be tasked with a dynamic mix of driving duties and operational responsibilities, including warehouse work, heavy equipment operation, and general tasks. Your main responsibilities will include:
Driving Duties (50% of Role):
- Performing pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
- Reporting any unsafe situations, service-related issues, or potential hazards to dispatch.
- Completing assigned roll-off or end-dump delivery and hauling routes efficiently.
- Communicating customer requests and service concerns to dispatch.
- Ensuring equipment is maintained in good operating condition.
- Reporting incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage promptly.
- Maintaining accurate driver logs and work orders as required.
- Receiving, inspecting, and depositing metals in designated locations.
- Unloading trailers and performing quality control inspections.
- Loading ferrous products for customer orders.
- Conduct hardware identification tests using magnets or other tools.
- Performing an inventory of stock according to the established schedule.
- Recording and reporting all materials entering and exiting the facility.
- Assisting with general labor tasks, including torching materials.
- Conducting general maintenance on equipment and ensure proper operation.
- Collaborating with managers to drive projects that enhance productivity while prioritizing safety and quality.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Class A Driver's license is a requirement
- Possession of a valid passport and eligibility to enter Canada.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and warehouse tasks is preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and adapt to various tasks as needed.
