1. Pick up and deliver residents to all scheduled activities where transportation is required.
2. Regularly communicate with the Transportation Coordinator about the schedule for all resident requests and planned trips.
3. Report any maintenance needs for the vehicles to the Plant Director and/or Assistant Plant Director.
4. Work co-operatively with other drivers to ensure a high quality of timely service for Residents.
5. Understands the responsibility to report suspected violations of The Cypress Club Code of Conduct to appropriate persons, or to The Cypress Club Compliance Hotline, or by completing a Written Report of Suspected Compliance Violation, or by contacting the Corporate Compliance Officer directly.
6. Takes appropriate precautions to avoid job-related injuries and complies with injury reporting guidelines.
7. Actively participates in safety programs and complies with The Cypress Club policies and procedures.
8. Look for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff, and visitors.
9. Embraces The Cypress Hospitality Promises daily.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Attend drills and in-services as assigned.
2. Assist residents in boarding and exiting the vehicles.
3. Cleans the inside of the vehicles as needed.
4. Perform valet duties when needed.
5. Maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with members at all times.
6. Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
7. Notifies supervisor of member concerns, problems, or incidents immediately.
8. Makes routine deliveries to apartments when necessary.
9. All other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements: Must be able to read, write and speak English, and do simple arithmetic.
Licensure/Certification: Must possess and maintain in good standing a current CDL driver's license.
Additional Qualifications: Possess good oral communication skills; be able to work independently of close supervision; must be able to clearly follow directions, must have good organizational skills for scheduling purposes.
Security Requirements: Drivers are not required or allowed to electronically view or access confidential patient information. Drivers will be allowed to view and share patient information accessible otherwise in regard to patient care.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must be able to sit in a vehicle for up to 6 hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, snow, cold, heat) for short periods of time. Must have good driving skills in handling vehicles on wet and/or slippery roads.
