As a Dental Assistant you will:Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and suppliesCollects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-raysEnsures patient comfort during dental proceduresPrepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directedAssist doctor in management of medical and dental emergenciesCleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study modelsDelivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patientMaintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staffIn addition, this position will also assist with the front office duties as needed.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or dental assistant experience preferredPrevious customer service or office experienceProficiency or the ability to become proficient in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.Strong verbal and written communication skillsFoster a positive attitude and be a team playerPatient Care Hours:Monday 8:00am - 5:00pmTuesday 7:30am - 4:00pmWednesday 8:00am - 5:00pmThursday 7:30am - 4:00pOccasional Fridays 8:00am - 1:00pm as needed
