NJ Rootcanal is hiring: Dental Assistant in Hawthorne

Job description

We are a large Endodontist Group looking for a dental assistant in our Hawthorne office. The position is full time 8:30am-5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Friday and 8:30am-2:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Computer experience required and any experience working with Eaglesoft or other Dental Program would be extremely helpful.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

• Preparing patients for Root Canal Treatment.
• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Assisting Doctor with Root Canal procedures.
• Providing great patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Caring for dental equipment.
• Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.

Dental Assistant Requirements

• Dental x-ray certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to provide great patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
