The Opportunity
Responsibilities of this career opportunity includes performing chair side assistance and support to dentists, as well as general office clerical and administrative support tasks. This position assists in: maintaining inventory; dental instruments; equipment; supplies; and coordinating patient flow, including patient appointments. The Dental Assistant maintains patient charts including patient information, current health history and dental charting. This position performs cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of equipment and instruments to prescribed standards. A critical responsibility includes preparing operatories, equipment and armamentarium for dental procedures, as well as cleaning and disinfection of operatories to prescribed standards. The Dental Assistant takes and records patient vital signs and exposes dental radiographs.

This career opportunity requires:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain dental radiography certification within three (3) months of employment.
- Experience and/or certification in dental assisting preferred.
