The Marketing & Growth Organization is AT&T’s marketing engine, responsible for driving sustainable growth by deeply understanding and championing our customers, captivating them with compelling products, services, and experiences; and building a culturally relevant and beloved brand. Summary:
In this highly visible role, you will embed core tenets of our Marketing Charter and value proposition through scaled efforts to build company-wide adoption of best-in-class marketing across AT&T. This role will lead the marketing talent development strategy focused on driving AT&T’s skills transformation. This includes but is not limited to building a robust marketing training strategy, sourcing innovative learning solutions to meet marketers’ needs, optimizing AT&T’s marketing memberships and subscriptions strategy, leading the associated content strategy and evolution to achieve engagement, and developing a career pathing strategy for the function.
This position will play a key role in thought leadership across the strategic priorities for marketing, designed to accelerate performance across our entire population of Marketers. The role requires the individual to provide support at a strategic as well as operational level.
The ideal candidate would be considered a subject matter expert in marketing fundamentals and have experience in driving change. They should be grounded in the strategies of learning and development with an innovative lens towards skills transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead AT&T marketing’s talent development strategy including the identification of future marketing skillsets, how to evolve towards that objective, and execute against those strategies.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, HR, IT, and Operations, to develop a roadmap for marketing talent development and ensure that initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
Act as the subject matter expert on marketing talent development strategy best practices, trends, and emerging technologies, and bring these insights to AT&T to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize marketing capability projects, and manage the end-to-end delivery of these initiatives, including the development of project plans, resources, timelines, and budgets.
Monitor and measure the impact of marketing capability initiatives and provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Develop a career pathing strategy for marketing that correlates competencies with critical roles in the business, allowing for internal lateral progression and advancement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, to ensure that marketing capability initiatives are aligned with business goals and priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience in holistic marketing across multiple brands at large companies.
Expert in leading marketing transformations across multiple marketing teams.
Expert in learning and development with an eye towards innovative solutioning.
Experience in project management including creation of communications and program management.
Management of large-scale teams and projects, including cross-functional collaboration.
Experience in talent development or related fields.
Executive presence to inspire confidence with internal and external constituents.
Collaborative: willing to roll up their sleeves with the team and get close to the details as well as interface with and influence senior leaders across the firm.
Strategic and operational; able to think through strategic challenges and build ground-up solutions.
Strong communicator; verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects.

Education:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Typically requires 6+ years of experience in similar area of responsibility.

Salary Range:
$130,700 - $196,100 annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
