RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctor's schedule and patient flow
- Assist the doctors with all dental procedures
- Partner with the team to create an exceptional experience for each patient
- Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart
- Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart
- Discussing diagnosed treatment with the patient
- Maintain sufficient inventory by ordering clinical supplies
- Ensure the practice maintains sufficient inventory by ordering clinical supplies
- Promote and market the company's services and doctors to patients as well as educate patients
- Address patient's questions and/or concerns
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program with current CDA certification; or a combination of education and on-the-job training to demonstrate basic chairside dental assisting skills:
- Receiving and preparing patients for dental treatment
- Assisting chairside
- Taking x-rays
- Making temporary crowns and pouring/trimming impressions
- Make custom bleaching trays
- Current x-ray, CPR, and nitrous certifications (or the ability to obtain upon hire)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment with direct patient contact. This includes demonstrating an outgoing and friendly demeanor, greeting patients with a smile as welcomed guests to the practice.
- Basic knowledge of dentistry and ability to educate patients regarding their dental health
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. This includes learning quickly and accepting constructive feedback. Self-motivated and driven for team success.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 or more years expanded dental assisting experience, preferably in general dentistry
- Denticon experience (or the ability to learn)
