Trinity Employment-Tulsa, OK

Monday-Friday | $20/hour+DOE | Temp to hire


We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team and help enhance the efficiency of our dentists in delivering high-quality oral health care. The ideal candidate will assist during various dental procedures and ensure smooth patient care while maintaining a professional, well-stocked, and organized clinical environment.


Job Summary:

Assist the dentist during treatment procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, dentures, and more.

Perform various chairside duties to support patient care and office operations.

Ensure patients have positive experience by delivering clear post-treatment instructions and handling scheduling professionally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and document medical and dental histories, including vital signs.
  • Ensure completion of consent forms and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Chart existing and completed treatment accurately and maintain detailed treatment plans.
  • Take proficient and precise digital radiographs.
  • Clean, sterilize, and set up instruments and treatment rooms following regulatory standards.
  • Maintain dental units by ensuring they are properly stocked and always prepared.
  • Schedule appointments, provide accurate quotes, and assist with insurance inquiries.
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed to assist with dental tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current Oklahoma Dental Assisting Permit (Required)
  • 2+ years of dental assisting experience (Preferred)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • COVID-19 vaccination (Required) and must pass all pre-employment screenings (This is a safety-sensitive position)
  • Coronal Polishing, Nitrous, Sealant, and X-ray certifications, or the ability to obtain them within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Professional, courteous, and patient-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Full-time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends or holidays

* Perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

* Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, or assist dentist during dental procedures.

* Record treatment information in patient records.

* Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.

* Order and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory.

* Expose dental diagnostic x-rays.

* Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.

* Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.

* Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.

* Apply protective coating of fluoride to teeth.

* Schedule appointments, prepare bills and receive payment for dental services, complete insurance forms, and maintain records, manually or using computer.

* Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.

* Pour, trim, and polish study casts.

* Fabricate temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions.

* Clean and polish removable appliances.

* Clean teeth, using dental instruments.

* Fabricate and fit orthodontic appliances and materials for patients, such as retainers, wires, or bands.
