We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented, and hands-on Metrology Technician to support the operations of our in-house diamond metrology equipment and investigate emerging diamond products for gemstone as well as technological applications. You'll be working with an experienced team of process, metrology, and materials science engineers, and will be encouraged to gain experience in a variety of techniques and areas. The position will involve hands-on work with metrology equipment, measurement preparation, and data acquisition. Responsibilities:

Prepare samples from the production line as well as R&D for requested characterization. Utilize a wide range of metrology tools and equipment such as micrometers and optical instruments to measure and inspect dimensions and surface properties of products in accordance with existing SOPs and safety protocols. Acquire and maintain accurate data and share records with other team members. Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.) is a plus. Support metrology team in efforts to achieve company objectives. Requirements:

High school diploma, an associate degree or certificate in Metrology or a related field. Previous experience in metrology, quality control, or related fields is advantageous. Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Compensation: $27 - $40 an hour. Will consider a Level I or Level II Technician. The position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and expertise.
