Job Title: Supply Chain Director
Location: Blythewood, South Carolina
Position Summary: As the head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. The position is responsible for planning, procurement, supplier management, distribution and transportation. Your ability to collaborate cross functionally with customer service, sales, and production to establish a robust monthly SIOP process that ensures smooth and timely delivery of products to customers will position you as a leader within the management team. Your strategic planning and problem-solving skills will be essential in improving processes and optimizing the supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a SIOP process purpose fit for the Blythewood operation. Establish robust supporting processes across demand, rough cut capacity, production scheduling and inventory management planning processes.
Manage the daily materials buying and supplier management initiating supplier corrective actions to improve supplier execution when needed. Collaborate with corporate strategic sourcing to identify and address strategies needed for Blythewood to ensure service, inventory, and cost objectives.
Oversee the distribution and transportation operations and drive continuous improvement to optimize the flow of material across the network improving lead-times, inventory and cost.
In collaboration with corporate IT, fully leverage SAP systems to streamline and automate processes across Plan, Source and Deliver. Consider other advanced supply chain tool sets to further improve efficiencies and service.
Define and implement key performance indictors (KPI) to keep performance within control limits. Review KPI performance and drive structured actions for continuous improvement based on insights derived from misses to target.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet company goals and objectives
Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues and achieve operational excellence
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance supply chain efficiency
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field (MBA desired)
7-10 years of experience across supply chain management and delivering results leading an integrated supply chain across Plan, Source and Deliver
Ability to quickly learn markets, products and customers in flexible packaging
Manufacturing process acumen. Flexible packaging process experience a plus
Lean and six sigma understanding and familiar with value stream mapping and A3 problem solving processes desired
Highly collaboratively in working cross functionally
Good financial acumen
Basics for applied statistics and the use of statistical models for demand planning and inventory optimization
Seeks to understand and integrate upstream and downstream processes
Ability to distill data into cohesive and impactful stories
Effective communication and strong leadership abilities
Proficiency in supply chain software and tools with a track record of adopting and leveraging systems
Certifications such as CPIM or CSCP are a plus
