Sr. Supervisor Mine Operations

POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Mine Operations function, ensure efficient use of resources and coordinate with Mine Ops Supervisor in order to achieve KPI, HSEC, Production, Ore Grade and Cost per tonne targets.
Responsible for managing and supporting the activities of Mine Ops. Supervisors, Dispatchers drill & blast activities, road construction and maintenance projects, dewatering projects, high risk projects.

Works directly with Mine Production Technicians. (Tech 1-6) Works directly with Mine Operations Supervision Works directly with Mine Operations and Mine Mobile Maintenance leadership team. Works directly with other departments around Pinto Valley as necessary.
External:
Work directly with external contractor parties as necessary

Display professionalism and integrity at all times. Demonstrate leadership qualities and behaviors for driving safety and production. Be able to acknowledge good behaviors, coach, give feedback and mentor. Ensure you are working in compliance with Pinto Valley Mine standard operating procedures and MSHA standards. Ensure drilling related activities are planned and executed in an efficient manner. This includes lining out drillers, drill operator shift change, drill pattern preparation, drill move planning and execution, keeping inventory of consumables, analyzing drilling data and coordination with Technical Services. Manage the SW Energy blasting contract to ensure their resources are deployed efficiently and effectively. This will require close collaboration with SW Energy site and corporate personnel. Plan and coordinate blasts with Technical Services, Shift Supervisor and SW Energy, especially with regards to blast planning, clearing and execution. Plan and supervise road construction and major road maintenance projects with operators and shift supervisors. Plan and supervise high risk projects including wall stabilization and wall scaling. Plan, coordinate and supervise pit dewatering including efficient use of pumps and equipment, planning pump moves, following up on pump maintenance and lining out dewatering personnel. Work closely with the shift supervisor to ensure production mining resources are efficiently and safely deployed in order to meet production targets. Work closely with dispatch to ensure delays are minimized. Ensure daily reporting is accurate and executed in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with Technical Services Follow up on maintenance related items for equipment, in particular drills and pumps. Ensure compliance to the CBA agreement.

Knowledge Role requires prior mine operations leadership experience. Role requires familiarity with maintenance and operation of mining equipment. In-pit driving, radio communication, working around equipment. Lock out, tag out and try out procedure. MSHA 48 Hr training.
Key Competencies / Skills Ability to learn additional equipment as required. Valid Arizona Driver's License. Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English. Ability to perform tasks as assigned.

70% field, 30% office.
