Program: East New York Clubhouse (ENYCH)
Reports to: Division Director
Location: 980 Halsey Street, Brooklyn, NY
Salary Range: $80,000 (MSW) - $90,000 (LMSW/LCSW)
Status: Full time - must be available to work flexible hours and some evenings, weekends and holidays
The Program Director works in collaboration with staff and members in the daily operation of BCS’s East New York Clubhouse, which provides a safe, nurturing, and non-institutional setting for psychiatric rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
Take a leadership role in ensuring positive outcomes in members’ lives.
Liaise with each unit to ensure all needs of members and the clubhouse are addressed.
Ensure average daily attendance of 30%.
Support program outreach and enrollment efforts to reach the new DOHMH target of 600 clients.
Supervise staff and assess the viability of work units and transitional employment program.
Work with a member-led community to plan vocational, educational and social activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses to create job opportunities for members.
Participate in regular meetings for shared decision making and program improvements.
Develop curriculum for and host virtual programming.
Oversee the Virtual Clubhouse on virtual connectivity platforms.
Engage members in the virtual Clubhouse work ordered-day.
Develop and co-facilitate virtual workshops.
Work side-by-side with members in Clubhouse tasks.
Oversee social and recreation programming.
Monitor activities unit management, case management, and Transitional Employment site management.
Prepare monthly statistical reports and program reviews.
Conduct outreach activities to enhance membership.
Help members identify and use community resources.
Maintain a small active caseload and provide case management.
Document all case management activities appropriately.
Perform Quality Assurance functions via client satisfaction surveys.
Conduct Self-Study of program and implement Clubhouse International Standards.
Establish measurements to track outcomes.
Coordinate documentation standards for compliance with funders.
Ensure accuracy of daily system data entry records.
Provide oversight as a site manager for Transitional Employment work site.
Assist in outreach for absent members.
Engage in evening food preparations and kitchen operations.
Participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the Clubhouse environment.
Represent programs and BCS to other organizations and the community.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
MSW required, LCSW preferred, plus progressively responsible work experience in a related setting.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
Significant work experience in a Clubhouse or similar rehabilitation model.
Strong work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Excellent judgment and adaptability in crisis situations.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to handle crises in a skilled and supportive manner.
Strong team leadership, collaboration, and management skills.
Fingerprinting and criminal background check required.
